Welcome to the very first blog on my brand new web site! After three mystery novels with Poisoned Pen Press, and a fourth due out on August 1, I thought it was time for new look, new bells and whistles and a fresh approach to a digital presence. I went with the team at xuni.com to create it,  and am very happy I did. Your comments are welcome.

The books? Well, the lovely bridge photo in the header is a clue that that they are about Brooklyn. They highlight different neighborhoods, some quaint and some tough. Each has its own history, old and current issues, and, of course, crimes. There is a lot of history mixed in, some real-world problems and an amateur sleuth with a personal life. Not too cozy, not too bleak. I sometimes call them “soft boiled” or “urban cozies."

Please feel free to look around here, learn more about the series, take a look at the book descriptions, read a story or two.  I hope you’ll enjoy it all, add your name to the mailing list and come back for a new blog post a few times a month.

 Happy reading!
